My heart sank on July 10th when a shocking event happened to my daughter and another girl at The Fields. An unidentified black SUV pulled up behind them while they were walking to the baseball field and shot my daughter four times with a BB gun before speeding off. The fact that the vehicle's windows were blacked out and the girls were in a state of shock meant that they could not give a proper description of the perpetrators. This incident has highlighted there are no cameras at the park that could've assisted us in identifying those responsible for this incident. 
Cameras serve as a deterrent for potential offenders and provide valuable evidence aiding law enforcement in investigations. 

We ask the city authorities to install security cameras at The Fields. This is a necessary measure to enhance our local security and ensure the safety and peace of mind of our residents. Let us turn an act of senseless crime into change. The safety of our children and community deserves this.
