The Pedestrian and Bike Path along the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge (also known as the Triborough Bridge) is a major transportation artery for deliveristas and recreational cyclists among Queens, Manhattan and the Bronx.
Walking across the bridge is however very challenging.  The railing at the bridge's tallest span is only at hip level, which creates a fall hazard in the event of a gust of wind.  The MTA needs to install a fence along this upper span to protect pedestrians and cyclists who use this bridge.
