We, the residents of Luton, have experienced firsthand the impact of unrecorded incidents on Birdsfoot Lane public footpath. Recently, our window was broken by school children in an unprovoked incident. This serious event could have injured our young children and left us with unexpected costs to replace a newly fitted window. The culprits could not be identified due to lack of surveillance in the area.

Birdsfoot Lane is a vital pathway for locals and passersby alike. However, its safety has been compromised by such incidents which are not isolated but part of an ongoing issue. The installation of cameras would provide much-needed security for local residents and deter potential miscreants.
