Install “No Parking” Signs In Artavia North Village (Conroe, TX)

The Issue

Our community has seen a growing problem with commercial vehicles, particularly semi-trucks, parking overnight or for extended periods in our residential neighborhood.

The presence of these large vehicles contributes to increased noise pollution, obstructed views, and can even pose safety hazards for both pedestrians and smaller vehicles trying to navigate our streets. Our neighborhood, designed for residential living, is not equipped to handle the strains imposed by these large trucks.

Adding  "No Parking" signs in areas where these vehicles frequently settle will allow our constable to actively issue citations to owners of commercial vehicles parked on our streets. For these signs to be approved by the county, we need signatures from 25% (roughly 350) of homeowners and tenants—just one signature per household.

This would apply to:

Commercial vehicles parked on our streets after 10 p.m. and before 6 a.m. (except if work is being performed)

This would NOT apply to resident-owned company vehicles parked at their homes -

“(h) This section does not apply to:

(1) a vehicle owned by a utility that an employee of the utility who is on call 24 hours a day parks at the employee's residence”
