Living across the street from Roosevelt Park in Modesto, California, I've witnessed firsthand the joy and challenges that our neighborhood faces when it comes to recreational spaces. Every day, my daughter and countless other children eagerly rush to the park, looking forward to enjoying the swings. However, with only two swings available, long waits have become the norm, often resulting in arguments and tension among the young ones.

It's an issue that doesn't affect just my family but many families in our community. Children should have the opportunity to play, socialize, and develop in an environment free from unnecessary stress. Expanding the number of swing sets would alleviate the congestion, giving kids more time to enjoy themselves. This would not only enhance their physical health but also foster a more harmonious community atmosphere.

Additionally, the lack of lighting in the horseshoe area severely limits its use during the evening. Proper lighting would extend the usage of this space, allowing families to enjoy more outdoor activities safely and comfortably after sunset. It would be a true blessing for our community, encouraging more gatherings and promoting a safer environment.
