My son was hit by a truck at one of the intersections in  front of Mill Race Park,  specifically 5th/ Lindsey on 04/28/26. where sadly there were no cameras installed to capture the incident. The absence of surveillance meant that there was no evidence that could aid in seeking justice or understanding fully what happened. Unfortunately, this isn't an isolated incident; many residents of our community have witnessed or heard of similar accidents happening, where crucial information was lost due to the lack of cameras.

Mill Race Park is not just a recreational area; it is a cherished community space where families, children, and individuals enjoy their everyday activities. However, the intersections along this park have become increasingly dangerous. Without proper monitoring, drivers often neglect traffic rules, putting pedestrians at significant risk. According to data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, nearly 6,000 pedestrians were killed in traffic crashes in the United States in recent years. These intersections are no exception to the troubling statistics.

By installing cameras at the intersections around Mill Race Park, we can significantly enhance safety measures.
