Walkerville Collegiate Institute is a High School in Windsor that is accepting of all students, yet lacks accessibility for those who cannot climb several flights of stairs. There are very few classrooms on the ground floor and a majority of the compulsory classes are on the second and third floors. The Greater Essex County District School Board recently spent nearly $10 million on renovations at the school, yet it was made no more accessible for disabled students. Signing this petition will be showing your support for the addition of either an elevator or a chairlift in the school, to help all students get an equal education.
