Experiencing Delhi's relentless heat is no small feat, especially for students at Jesus and Mary College (JMC) in Chanakyapuri. I am a proud student of this prestigious institution, planning to spend four valued years here. Our college boasts exceptional infrastructure and impeccable facilities, which is why I feel it's only right that we extend this excellence to include air conditioning in more of our spaces.

Currently, only the Venet Hall is equipped with air conditioning, leaving the majority of classrooms to bear the brunt of harsh Delhi summers. This lack of air conditioning not only impacts our comfort but also our concentration and productivity. With temperatures reaching upwards of 45°C in peak summer, it's distressing to sit through lectures in stifling heat, leading to fatigue and decreased academic engagement.

Numerous studies have shown that a comfortable learning environment dramatically boosts student performance and well-being. Air conditioning is no longer a luxury—it's a necessity for maintaining a conducive educational setting. Implementing AC across classrooms will not only enhance the comfort of students and staff but will also uphold the integrity and prestige of JMC as a leading educational institution.
