As a concerned resident of Prestwyck Community, McKinney, TX, I am deeply worried about the safety of our children. Our neighborhood is home to a high school, an elementary school, and a soon to be finished middle school. Every day, hundreds of students navigate through the busy intersection of Prestwick Hollow Dr and Coit Rd without the protection of traffic lights. This situation poses significant risks for accidents and endangers lives of both residents and students.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), traffic lights reduce collisions by up to 50%. Installing a traffic light at key intersections in our neighborhood will not only protect our children but also ensure smoother traffic flow during peak hours.
