I live near the Price Chopper plaza on State Route 12 and I've experienced the dangers of this intersection firsthand. Accidents happen too often here, and it is a risk for everyone - pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists. With new businesses opening nearby, the traffic flow in this location is only going to increase, further exacerbating the problem.

Data from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety highlights that traffic signals can reduce certain types of car collisions by as much as 40% (Source: IIHS). Therefore, not only would installing a traffic light here improve drive time efficiency and flow of traffic, but it could be lifesaving action.

Considering these points, we demand the local government to seriously consider this pressing issue. We need a traffic light, or at least a traffic study, at the Price Chopper plaza on State Route 12 to protect our community and ensure safety.
