As a passionate advocate for the myriad health benefits of saunas, I am deeply perturbed by the removal of our local sauna in Surrey Quays Not only is it a personal oasis, but it also serves as a wellness hub for our local community. Saunas serve to reduce feelings of stress and anxiety, increase blood circulation and can even help with chronic pain relief among other benefits as outlined by the Mayo Clinic. Recognising this, many other communities across the UK are beginning to install public saunas, benefiting their residents.

The recent elimination of our local sauna means we are left without this essential provision. I urge our City Council to install a sauna in our local area in Surrey Keys to encourage a community focused on health, well-being, and social connection.
