Install a one-way sign by the row of shops on Osborne street, Bredbury, Stockport
The Issue
As a local resident, I have witnessed and experienced numerous near-accidents firsthand, largely because of the sharp turns behind the shops and many uses of the area. Residents behind the shops are entering Osborne street, customers leaving the row of shops and a newly refurbished set of flats exiting the car park onto the bit of road to join onto Osborne street.
This is particularly important as many young children cross this bit of the road, they should be aware in which direction cars are coming and going for their safety and the drivers.
I urge the Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council to prioritise the installation of this one-way sign. By acting swiftly, the council can demonstrate its commitment to public safety and its support for the Bredbury community.
Join me in making Bredbury’s roads safer. Sign this petition today and be a part of this crucial change. Your support could be the difference between safety and tragedy on our beloved streets.
