Instacart to implement human verification in Shopper App to Stop the Bots!

The Issue

Please help shopper's who are putting their health on the line during COVID-19 and delivering essentials during stay at home orders.

Unauthorized third party bots are stealing batch orders from legitimate verified authorized Instacart Shoppers. Shoppers who rely on this source of income to support their families are losing money to this bot order theft.

If Instacart were to implement a human verification process for each individual order acceptance within the Shopper Platform, this would mitigate for these Unauthorized Third Party Apps that are stealing orders from verified shoppers.

Protect Instacart Customers Orders from being fulfilled  by people who are NOT Authorized to deliver their order.

Prevent potential security breaches with a human verification process implemented within the Instacart Shopper Platform.

My sister and Husband are Gig workers whose primary source of income is grocery deliveries. Over the last month, several batch orders are instantaneously appearing within the Shopper App and Disappearing immediately in groups of 5 or more. They disappear instantly simultaneously. Instacart is aware of this but has NOT implemented anything to prevent a security breach from these Unauthorized Software programs that target shopper's to allegedly get priority.  Unfortunately, the people who get the order might not be verified by Instacart and may not have a had background check. They may gain access to know where you live or steal an order a customer placed.

Instacart has not publicly documented how they intend to solve the problem. They did not indicate that they would intend to verify an actual human, who is Authorized by Instacart to accept and order is accepting an order within the Shopper Platform.

Instacart needs to implement a human verification step within each individual order within the Shopper Platform.  Many companies have built a Human Verification process in their applications software. These processes are not new and they should make development of this human verification of Shopper Order acceptance a priority!
