Insist Representative Andy Harris Conduct an In-Person Town Hall Meeting

Insist Representative Andy Harris Conduct an In-Person Town Hall Meeting
The Issue
As a lifelong resident of the lower shore and someone deeply rooted in the community of the first district, I've watched as our voice seems to get quieter in the national discourse. Many around me share the same sentiment. We are a part of a community that feels ignored and we want to ask, directly, why our representation, particularly Rep. Andy Harris, is seemingly not asserting his share of power within the system of federal checks and balances? Surely, a man of the people should have no issue fielding questions directly from the constituents he is duty-bound to represent.
Town hall meetings have been a staple of our democratic process since the founding. They provide a chance for constituents to communicate directly with their elected officials, discussing concerns, and propose solutions. The process promotes governmental transparency and accountability, something I believe every American can agree we could use more of.
This is not just calling for a town hall meeting but for an open dialog focusing on our concerns, problems, and ideas within a democratic framework. This petition is not only a call for a meeting, but a plea for understanding and action from Rep. Andy Harris as soon as possible. We the People deserve to be heard by our representation!
Please sign this petition to support our pursuit of an open dialogue with our elected official, one that fosters honesty, clarity, and accountability, reminding Rep. Harris that he was elected to represent us.
