On August 24th, our junior high softball team faced a devastating 17-2 loss, with our young pitcher struggling through two innings she was not prepared for. The players found themselves in uncomfortable situations, placed in positions they were not trained to handle. Despite the catcher's precise skills, the lack of defensive support left the team without a fighting chance. These are just some of the many ongoing challenges faced by our team under the current leadership.

The current season stands at a disappointing 0-5, with most games ending prematurely due to the run rule limit. Only two of these matches have gone beyond the third inning. Unfortunately, when rain delayed games, the team received no additional practice sessions to improve skills or rebuild confidence.

The role of a head coach is crucial, especially for a junior high team where guidance, support, and effective instruction are vital in developing both the skills and morale of young athletes. Our coach, however, has consistently demonstrated a lack of ambition and leadership required for this role. The impact on the team is evident through their discouragement and issue of morale.

The players deserve a coach who is committed to nurturing their potential, one who can uplift their spirits and provide the necessary training needed for improvement and success. A change in head coach is not just desirable, it is essential for the future of these young athletes and the program.

For the wellbeing of our children and the future of our softball program, we need a new coach who is dedicated, inspiring, and proactive in skill development. Let us ensure our young talents have the leadership they deserve.
