We so appreciate MPP Singh's support on this important issue! Why is it that he, along with other MPPs, HVAC expert Dara Bowser, and other technical experts (as well as many, many consumers of course) see the importance of proceeding with this Inquiry - but the Government of Ontario just continues to delay, delay, delay? Meanwhile, far too many homeowners continue to freeze and swelter in homes that do not meet the Ontario Building Code. These homeowners paid full price for their homes that were supposed to meet the Ontario Building Code. Some call these consumers who are "stuck" with homes that do not meet the Ontario Building Code "victims of white collar crime". This serious situation has been going on for over a decade and the Government of Ontario knows it. For example, in 2012, CTV's W-Five first aired a segment related to this serious on national television. Also in 2012, former Ted Chudleigh called for a full investigation in the Ontario Legislature. Thousands of letters and e-mails have been written to government officials about this ongoing serious issue. Yet, these systems continue to be sold in Ontario - and the Government of Ontario remains mum. Why does the Government of Ontario not want to get to the bottom of this matter? These are important questions.
