Balmain/Rozelle dog friendly pubs

Balmain/Rozelle dog friendly pubs
The Issue
Balmain/Rozelle has had selected pubs that allow dogs to enter with their owners to enjoy a drink/lunch or dinner. Balmain/Rozelle has a special atmosphere created by the many dogs and their owners. This has become a signature for this area where everyone whether they have a dog or not interacts creating a relaxed and friendly village. Rangers have now said that for every dog found in a pub there will be a fine of $600. There is no evidence that having a dog in a pub has any effect on the quality of your experience or that dogs cause any health issues by being there. Europe and the UK are proof of this.
Please support these specific pubs and effected dog owners by signing this petition to restore the status quo so Balmain/Rozelle pubs, which allow dogs to enter, can return to that status again, always keeping in mind that everyone's right to be safe is maintained.
