Initiate Shuttle Services for Employees to Reduce Traffic and Aid Environment

The Issue

My name is a concerned employee from Berkeley Heights, NJ, USA. I am having trouble finding a carpool, and I know there are others who share the same struggle. Our daily commute to work has become an unnecessary stressor that could be easily resolved with the implementation of a company shuttle service.

A shuttle service would not only alleviate our commuting issues but also contribute positively towards the environment by reducing individual vehicle usage. According to the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), public transportation in the United States reduces carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by 37 million metric tons annually. This is equivalent to if New York City stopped using electricity for an entire year.

Moreover, it would help in reducing traffic congestion on our roads. The Texas A&M Transportation Institute reported that traffic congestion caused U.S drivers to waste more than 3 billion gallons of fuel and kept travelers stuck in their cars for nearly 7 billion extra hours - 42 hours per rush-hour commuter.

By initiating this service, our company can play its part in reducing these alarming statistics while also providing a much-needed facility for its employees. We urge you to consider this proposal seriously as it stands beneficial not just for us employees but also contributes towards broader environmental and societal goals.

Please sign this petition if you believe in making our commutes easier while doing good for our planet.
