"I'm a long-standing member of the Cecil County Disc Golf Club, with a strong personal connection to the disc golf course at Calvert Regional Park. This course holds a special place in the hearts of many. It's a community hub that brings together disc golfers of all ages, backgrounds, ethnicities, and genders to enjoy and celebrate the sport. As it did for me, this course offers newcomers the authentic flavor of the sport. My dream is to teach my son disc golf on the same course that introduced me to the sport's glory.

However, the maintenance of our beloved disc golf course has not been up to par, threatening the future of this course, the first in our community. We must not let this happen. 

The American Disc Golf Association highlighted that regular maintenance of disc golf courses not only ensures safety and continuity of the sport but also contributes to local economies (source: American Disc Golf Association). In line with this, we propose scheduled volunteer days involving members of our club. Let’s make sure our course is kept in the best shape for present and future generations.

Therefore, we call on the local authorities, to officially sanction organized volunteer maintenance days. This action will reflect well on our cherished sport, future generations, and the overall community spirit.
