As an aunt to two beautiful children, a sister to three siblings, a daughter to my two wonderful parents, a friend to others, I am profoundly disturbed by the ongoing violence in Gaza. The sight of innocent children and people losing their lives is unbearable. It's a personal plea, but also one that resonates with millions around the world who value human life and peace.

The conflict dates back to 75 years, causing immense suffering and loss. Over 17,000 Palestinians have been brutally killed by Israeli airstrikes that have been continuous since October 7, 2023. This is not just a statistic; these are lives cut short, families torn apart. Gaza’s Ministry of Education has suspended the school year 2023-2024 as majority of students have been killed. This is a genocide and it must come to an end. 

We need to raise our voices against this violence. We need to demand an immediate ceasefire in Gaza from all parties involved in this conflict - because every life matters. Let's stand together for peace and justice; let's stand together for humanity.
