I am a father, an educator and a supporter of young children's rights. My forty-year vocation has been dedicated to ensuring children's safety and well-being. It is our responsibility to uphold justice and protect the innocent. However, my belief in these principles is compromised when I witness individuals complicit in the horrifying cases of grooming and rape gangs in England, Wales, and Scotland evade justice.

Recent estimates from the Home Office suggest that as many as 19,000 children had been sexually groomed in England alone in the past year. The Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse in 2018 found numerous systemic failings in how we deal with these crimes.

It is clear that there is an entrenched problem that requires impartial scrutiny and immediate action. I urge our government to set up a National Inquiry to investigate this stain on our society, to uncover the cover-up and hold individuals responsible accountable. This Inquiry is indispensable if we are to make any progress towards justice and towards ensuring such heinous crimes cease to exist under the watch of responsible authorities.
