A large-scale tree cutting campaign is happening right now at our community, The Falls at Sope Creek, in Marietta, GA.  (Note the MANY trees all over the property marked with orange paint.)  Cutting will continue for the next week and a half.  It is being mandated by the corporate owners, Wilkinson Real Estate Advisors, Inc., in response to concern of liability for tree branches falling onto parked vehicles.  

While concerns for safety are appreciated, and some trees need to be felled, the extreme measures to address this issue are unnecessarily drastic and compromising our beautiful living environment.  Communities such as ours are rare that have majestic old trees affording beauty, shade, privacy, noise insulation, and a relaxing and peaceful environment.... especially offsetting the aged and worn condition of the buildings.  

Please sign ASAP to let Wilkinson Real Estate Advisors know that before any more trees are destroyed, we are requesting a reassessment of necessary tree fellings for safety/liability purposes, so that a balance may be achieved between resident and corporate interests.
