Induct Coach Dave Dallas into the Kansas Wesleyan University's Hall of Fame
The Issue
Coach Dave Dallas has left an incredible mark on Kansas Wesleyan University (KWU 1997-2014) and its football program. As the winningest coach in KWU history, he led the team to their first national championship playoff appeareance in school history in 2001 and again in 2002. These victories also marked the school's only playoff appearances, earning them their highest end-of-the-year ranking (14th) in school history at the time.
Beyond his impressive track record as a coach, Dallas served as a father-figure to more than 75 student athletes each year during his tenure. His influence extended beyond the field as he held the title of Athletic Director and was actively involved with various associations such as American Football Coaches Association- NAIA President from 2008-2011, Kansas Football Coaches Association from 1989-2013, NAIA Playoff Committee and NAIA Convention Planning Committee from 1997-2013, and NAIA Football Rater from 1989-2013.
His contributions to KWU are immeasurable and it is time we acknowledge this by securing him a place in our university's Hall of Fame. This petition is not just about recognizing an outstanding coach but also honoring a man who has shaped countless lives through his dedication to football education. We want to bring awareness to KWU's selection committee and administration the importance of our coach being honored with this reward.
