Make grass clippings blown into public roadways and left uncleared a finable offense

The Issue

Fathers, Mothers, Sons, Daughters, Grandpas, Grandmas, Sisters, Brothers, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Friends...we all know someone and even love and care about someone who rides a motorcycle. And to risk loosing one of them in an accident that could have been prevented is unthinkable. But that risk occurs every day when grass clippings are blown onto public roadways

The solution is simple. Enact a law making it a finable offense when grass clippings are blown into the road and left uncleared. If this done and we keep grass clippings free from roadways, we don't run the risk of injury or death to motorcyclists when grass clippings cause them to loose their traction on the road. We can prevent death, injury, and heartache by the simple act of cleaning up after ourselves. This is a basic principal most of us have been taught from a very young age.

I am a mother of 4. My husband and I own motorcycles and ride as often as we can with our friends and family. To know that something as simple as grass clippings being left in the road could cost our children.. any child or children their parents is simply unacceptable. To know a son could loose a mom or dad, a grandson could loose a grandfather or grandmother...at any given moment any of us could loose someone we love for something as simple as not cleaning up after ourselves.

Please I urge you, sign the petition. There's no doubt motorcyclists know the risks when they ride, but why shouldn't we decrease that risk by doing something so simple. Cleaning up.

Thank you!
