Friends, I had not planned to do an update today, but the article I am linking to this update is excellent. It has been available for several days, but is now on a platform free to any reader. The third and final debate in the Indiana gubernatorial campaign is coming up on Tuesday of next week. It is supposed to focus on health and social issues, and if there ever has been a subject appropriate for a debate on social issues, it's a pardon for Keith Cooper. Candidate John Gregg has said he would pardon Cooper. Eric Holcomb has not committed. I think a candidate should be asked why he cannot commit to pardoning an innocent person. This opportunity is limited to Indiana residents: If you are a resident, please submit your question to the Indiana Debate Commission so that Holcomb will be asked why he will not commit to a pardon. Or, if he will commit to pardoning Cooper, without the unnecessary delays and expense (to Indiana taxpayers) of further court hearings and retrials? The link for submitting a question is here: http://indianadebatecommission.com/submit-your-debate-question/ For everyone, please continue to request coverage of Pence's refusal to pardon Cooper from the New York Times. Unfortunately, I might have previously given you the wrong email link. This is to the New York Times's national desk, so if you've tried to contact them previously through the news-tip address, please consider sending the same message here. And if you haven't contact the New York Times yet, please consider joining us in this: national@nytimes.com. And finally, consider tweeting the linked article to @MatthewLloyd because as Pence's spokesman, he deserves it. Thank you all for your help and interest. Jack Heller
