Indiana is one of the few states that does not offer affordable insulin. In most states, a diabetic can go to walmart and purchase insulin over the counter, without a prescription, at a decent price. Without insulin, diabetics can suffer many complications and even death. Many other states offer this life saving medicine at an affordable price to keep diabetics alive. Currently, indiana is not one. Without insurance a bottle of insulin is roughly $800. Walmart offers an off brand insulin, without insurance for $25. Please help me afford insulin and hundreds of others in the Hoosier state.
