We the residents of Indiana, PA and nearby communities, IUP Alumni, Business-owners, parents, taxpayers and other non-offending IUP students hereby demand that additional actions are taken to diminish the negative impact that the annual IUPatty's events have on our community. Specifically, we want participative representation on the Indiana Area Collaborative Team, which currently meets to work toward solutions to this problem.

In 2014, the rioters blocked streets and jumped on top of moving vehicles. Sadly, now in 2017, after only one night of this event, 1 person is dead from gunshot wounds and others are fighting for their lives. Residents lay in bed and hear sirens, helicopters and now, gunshots. The situation is escalating, not improving.
