The Historical TV show 'Chandragupta Maurya' was taken off air on 14'th April since the channel broadcasting it closed abruptly.

Chandragupta Maurya is a fascinating and proverbial 'David vs Goliath' story of how an Indian Teacher and his obscure student went on to shape the history of India.

It's based on the real life story of an Indian teacher from Alexander's time, 'Chanakya' and his student 'Chandragupta Maurya', who came from nowhere and fought and overthrew the evil Nanda rulers of India.

Chandragupta succeeded in conquering most of the Indian subcontinent after Alexander left India and is considered the first unifier of India as well as its first genuine emperor.

This was a show which audience from all age groups enjoyed.

Children as young as 5 yrs could find a connect with the story and as fan's would admit, their child would miss cartoons to watch the show.

It was a show which gave hope and inspiration and had life's lessons in it.
