Recently Tiktok has been banned in India due to reasons you are familiar with by now.I respect the decision of the government concerning the ban but I would like to speak about the app's impact itself. I know that almost all of you despise Tiktok because it is cringe. But the people who do the "cringy" stuff, they have confidence and are doing it cause they want to. The purpose of Tiktok is that, to show the world what you're doing. If you don't like it don't install the app, that's it!  Now to all the people saying that the youth were wasting our time on Tiktok, we can restrict our usage to a certain limit. Yes, sometimes we get addicted to Tiktok but that's what entertainment does to us. Tiktok was getting me through quarantine. It helped me when I was down and made me happy. I believe I speak for every other Indian teenager when I say so. Now that the app is gone, we feel terrible. I had never thought that an app being banned would impact me so much. Tiktok is like that friend who moved away, you understand? We have such good memories with that app, and we met so many nice people through it. I really miss it. It is not a bad app, it is not changing our views, it is not changing our future, it is not changing our mindset! We only see good content, nothing disturbing because we have blocked what we do not want to see. The users who post these illegal stuff are responsible, not the app because they get rid of it as soon as possible. We know how to protect ourself from harmful content because I think every teenager is more mature than the teenagers from the older generation. Gen Z is different, we are well aware of what things can do and we are responsible and smart enough. I hope you all will consider giving Tiktok another try, because it was an amazing app!
