Request to remove Singapore as high risk country in India for Travels
Dear MoHFW_INDIA and High Commission of India in Singapore
Thanks for the efforts in bringing the VTL flights between India and Singapore.
We have recently learned as per the Indian Ministry of Health and Family Welfare website (https://www.mohfw.gov.in/ ) that Singapore has been categorized as a high-risk country and all passengers traveling from Singapore to India have to undergo mandatory RT-PCR test at the airport and wait for the results before leaving the Airport which will take 6 hrs to 8 hrs at the airport.
There are so many family ladies with small kids are traveling to India after 2 years of separation from the near and dear ones and this announcement of the waiting period of 6 to 8 hrs at the airport is a big blow to them and extended pressure for the kids & ladies to be at the airport for 8 hrs.
On behalf of the Indians who are traveling from Singapore to India during this school holiday period, would like to kindly request to remove Singapore (which has very low count) from the high-risk country's list.
Bangladesh has been listed a few days back and was removed on 30-Nov-2021 (https://www.mohfw.gov.in/pdf/ListofCountriestobereferredtoincontextofGuidelinesforinternationalarrivalsdated28thNovember2021updatedon30112021.pdf
