@Indian Ministry of Culture: Promote Hindu inter-caste Marriage for Casteless India

The Issue

"I asked my father, why do he need to give dowry for my marriage?"

"He said, it's very difficult to find a better match in our caste and well educated family, high salaried bridegroom demand for high dowry"

"I said, one of my friend want to marry me without any dowry. He has a very good package and his family is well educated too."

"My father asked, does he belong to our caste?"

"I said, No"

"My father said, inter-caste marriage...No.. No..लोग क्या कहेंगे?"

"I said, जब आप दहेज़ देते है, तब लोग कुछ क्यू नहीं कहते?"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm Hindu and my friend is Hindu too..

I'm Kshatriya and my friend is Kshatriya too..

I'm Suryavanshi and my friend is Suryavanshi too..

But we both belong to different sub castes within the Suryavanshi caste.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hinduism – The major religion & culture of India but still exploited by minorities such as Mughals for 331 years and by British for 200 years. Reason??? The same caste system – Hindus were not united and used to fight among themselves on the name of caste and still we are fighting on the name of caste.

Is it really impossible to end caste system in India?

Everyone know...

  • Reservations should be based on person's income not based on caste
  • Marriage should be based on person's ability not based on caste
  • Hindus have been divided too much... there are more 500 sub castes in Hinduism

We don't have any particular leader for all the Hindu communities to discuss about ending caste system in India.

Therefore let's request our Indian Ministry of Culture to promote Hindu inter-caste marriage with Arya Samaj Marriages.

OR

Introduce "Hindu inter-caste marriage" as a new law in Hindu code bills.

Some examples of Hindu inter-caste marriages in ancient India:

  • In Mahabharata, King Yayati married a Brahmin woman Devayani
  • In Mahabharata, Dushyant married Shakuntala, who was brought up by a Brahmin
  • In Mahabharata, Kshatriya King Shantanu married a low born fisherwoman, Satyavati
  • In Mahabharata, Bheema married Hidimba while Arjuna wedded Ulupi
  • Sage Kardam was married to Kshtriya princess Devahooti who later gave birth to lord Kapil (considered to be incarnation of lord Vishnu)
  • Ravan was Brahmin and married to Kshtriya princess Mandodari who was daughter of May Danav
  • Sage Jamdagni was married to daughter of Khstriya king Prasenjit whose name was Renuka (mother of great brahmin warrior Parshuram)
  • Sage Saubhari married to all 50 daughters of Ikshvakuvanshi king Mandhata (ancestor of lord Ram)

Due to fear of Mughals, we accepted the marriage of Rajput princess Jodha with Mughal king Akbar. Can’t we accept relation with our own religion for the sake of National Unity?

"Caste is a profession of each individual, not tradition"
