When I remember the incident of open fire on common citizens' who were protesting to shutdown of vedanta company the first glimpse which comes to my mind is the Jalianwalabagh massacre incident. A British man asked his troop to open fire in punjab. The same incident has again happened by the support of central government and state govt of Tamilnadu to support a British company. Vedanta is a british company and taking lives of many Indians for its profit.

Tamilnadu Police opening fire on protestor's demanding closure of Vedanta Group's Sterlite Copper smelter at Thoothukudi. The protests had been intensified over the past four months, as twenty years of struggle to demand closure of the highly polluting copper smelter.

15 defenceless protestors were shot dead and hundreds injured due to firing (included sharp-shooting) by Tamilnadu Police, directed as they were by the Tamilnadu administration.

13 deaths in police firing against anti-Sterlite protesters and more than 100s' injured.

Second story of Vedanta company

On 19 March 2003 Vedanta Alumina Limited applied for environmental clearance from the Indian Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) to construct an alumina refinery project in the eastern Indian state of Orissa. This clearance was granted on 22 September 2004. The clearance stated that the project did not involve any deforestation. However, the alumina refinery depended directly on mining the Niyamgiri hills, an area where the Dongria Kondh tribe lives. The clearance application for the mining portion of the project was made separately. The Central Empowered Committee (CEC), part of the MOeF, received petitions opposing the construction of Vedanta’s alumina refinery and its related bauxite mining. The CEC’s mandate is to monitor and ensure compliance with orders of the Supreme Court concerning forests and wildlife. The project’s opponents alleged it would destroy the Dongria Kondh tribe’s way of life (due to their spiritual and cultural attachment to the Niyamgiri hills) and that work on the projects had begun without the requisite clearances. Further, they alleged that many people had been forcibly removed from their homes, at times violently, and that the mining has already caused extensive environmental damage and will cause more.

Such an British company existing in India it has been taking lives of many with support from state governments and Central government. I request all educated , soulful people raise voice against this company and ask our central government , ministry of mines , ministry of environmental to cancel the license and kick the British company from our nation India, Bharath. Yesterday it was orissa today Tamilnadu tomorrow it may be your state.

Sign this petition and let us kick this British Vedantha company from our Great nation Bharath.
