There have been increasing incidents of assault, robbery, theft, shootings, carjackings, and stabbings within campus and the surrounding area of Drexel University. We want to feel safe when walking home, walking to class, walking to the Septa station. With an increase of police presence, perpetrators would be less likely to commit these acts. Many students live off campus north of Spring Garden and west of 36th street. We don’t feel safe walking home. Please increase the presence of police and public safety in the area north of Spring Garden and west of 36th street and on campus in the residential neighborhoods so another innocent life isn’t taken.
