Every school day at Sir Robert Borden High School, I face a significant challenge: securing a Chromebook for class assignments and projects. With only 10-12 Chromebooks available in each classroom for a student body of 850, many of us have to rely on the library, which has just 90 Chromebooks. Unfortunately, the library often runs out with such high demand.

This shortage makes it hard to stay focused and ultimately impacts our academic performance. To address this issue, I propose a straightforward solution: increasing the number of Chromebook tubs in each classroom from 2 to 4. Each tub holds 6 Chromebooks, meaning that with 4 tubs, classrooms would have a total of 24 Chromebooks—enough for an average class size.

This change would ensure that every student has access to the technology they need right in their classroom, making it easier for me and my classmates to complete assignments, participate in discussions, and enhance our learning.
