I am a resident of Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. Like many others here, I rely on the KWSP (Employees Provident Fund) for my future financial security. However, the current contribution rate is not sufficient to meet our increasing cost of living and future needs.

According to data from the Department of Statistics Malaysia, our cost of living has been steadily increasing over the years. Yet, our EPF contribution rates have remained stagnant. This disparity is causing financial strain and anxiety about our future among us contributors.

We urge the Malaysian government and relevant authorities to review and increase the EPF contribution rate in Shah Alam. This will ensure that we can maintain a decent standard of living now and in retirement without worrying about financial instability.
