As many are not eligible for food programs in America, they still struggle to put nutritious and fulfilling food on the table for themselves or their families. Because of this, they purchase unhealthy foods that fit in their budgets but can cause health affects in the long run. If the government increases the funding for food programs, and therefore increase the income thresholds for said programs, more families will be able to receive the support they deserve to supply their families with the most basic right of food. 

Many Americans struggle to afford food in their everyday lives due to the high standard of living. Americans struggle to afford nutritious and filling food to feed themselves and their families. Due to this, they either go hungry or buy unhealthy foods that benefit them short term, but negatively impacts their health long term. This petition is to advocate for these families in order to increase the government budget and funding for essential food programs like SNAPS. This would give these families the support they need and access to this essential survival right.
