Increase Support for OB/GYN Residency Programs Across the United States
The Issue
As an individual who deeply cares for the sanctity of life and the well-being of children, I firmly believe more support should be extended to Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) residency programs across the United States. It is a prima facie impression that there were less abortions than births this year, which is correct 29,671,941 abortions happened this last year, with almost 4 times as many births. To give each child the best start in life, it's crucial that we have a robust team of qualified, well-trained physicians.
The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) tells us that there were approximately 1,200 OB/GYN residents as of a recent count. Considering that this year's births significantly exceeded the approximately 29,000 abortions worldwide, it is critical we keep this positive statistic on a steady rise.
But here's the catch – these positive outcomes won't be sustainable if we don't invest more in our OB/GYN programs and residents. By increasing our support for these programs, we're not just safeguarding our children's future; we're also building a healthier society.
The residents are at the forefront, giving their all to ensure each child is welcomed into the world in the best possible conditions. The need for their expertise will continue to grow as we aim to decrease the reliance on abortions and promote a pro-life society.
It's time for us to rally behind our doctors and the health of our future generation. We must urge our policy makers to prioritize and fund more robust OB/GYN residency programs across the country. Please, sign this petition and help us give every child the healthy start in life they deserve.
