I am a parent of a two-year-old child in Hereford, UK. Each day, I face an enormous challenge of being denied boarding school/college time buses as they are already full. With the plummeting temperatures and limited indoor spaces to wait after shop closing hours, it is more than a convenience issue - it quickly becomes a safety and health risk, leaving many of us stranded in the biting cold.

The situation is evident: the existing bus services during peak school times are inadequate to serve the volume of students/workers and shoppers alike. This leads to full buses by the 2nd stop, forcing parents like me, and others who are part of the general public, to wait another hour for the next bus.

Implementing additional buses or introducing a dedicated service for college students during busy hours would effectively mitigate the crowd on buses and preserve the normal schedule for the rest of the passengers.

This isn't just an appeal for improved public transport service; it's a call for social justice. We need to rethink and respond to the public transport needs of our community with sustained urgency and not let unmet demand compromise safety and comfort.

Join us in signing this petition and compel Hereford transport authorities to increase bus services during school/college peak hours or to start a bus service solely for schools and colleges. It's high time we made public transportation more equitable and dependable for everyone in our community.
