Our community in Cane Garden Bay has been experiencing a lack of adequate police presence, which has resulted in an increase in crime and a decrease in public safety. We believe that more police on foot patrol would foster better relationships between law enforcement and our community, improving overall safety. Furthermore, the reopening of the local police station is crucial to ensure immediate response to emergencies. According to recent statistics from the National Institute of Justice, communities with increased foot patrols have seen a significant reduction in crime rates (NIJ). Therefore, we urge our local government officials to take immediate action by increasing police presence around our community and reopening the Cane Garden Bay station.
