The Teignbridge area, including Newton Abbot, has been without adequate mental health facilities and support, there is a three years waiting list for mental health support this is too long as the area is nearly experiencing daily  Suicide. The lack of resources is detrimental to the wellbeing of our community members who are struggling with mental health issues. According to a report by the Mental Health Foundation, one in four people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year. Yet, our local area lacks the necessary infrastructure to support these individuals. We urgently need increased funding for mental health services in Teignbridge to establish facilities and provide essential support services. It's time we prioritise mental health as much as physical health within our community.
