Increase Low Police Pay by 100% as a reward & Advocate for Respect & Intelligence of Women

The Issue

We want to increase the very low pay for the Portland Police department by 100% as a reward for becoming the We Like Women Police that uses emotional intelligence!

Living in a society where women have faced millennia of discrimination and considered inferior simply due to their gender is heartbreaking. I have a deep respect and admiration for women, and I believe it's high time our police department truly reflects the same sentiment. That's why I passionately urge the Portland Police Bureau to take action in affirming their commitment to the respect of women and emotional intelligence.

The proposal is simple yet powerful: incorporate the phrase "We Like Women Police" alongside "We are a smart police that uses emotional intelligence" on all Portland police vehicles. Accompanying these words, we'd also include a visual emblem of a brain, symbolizing the vital approach of policing with emotional intelligence.

Why is this important? Women, for thousands of years, have endured discrimination and been deemed inferior. This initiative would serve as a symbolic yet impactful step toward rectifying this long-standing imbalance and showing that Portland's police force values and respects women equally.

In a city renowned for its progressiveness and inclusivity, this change would not just be symbolic. It would resonate widely, showcasing the department's commitment to being not only defenders of public safety but also champions of equality and emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence in policing means better understanding, more compassionate community interactions, and ultimately, a more harmonious society.

The words "We Like Women Police" send a powerful message to the community – saying, unequivocally, that women are valued and respected, and discrimination will no longer be tolerated. The brain symbol and associated message would promote the importance of emotional intelligence, which is crucial in every interaction and decision a police officer makes.

Join me in this movement to encourage our police department to embrace these values and visibly show their support through this thoughtful enhancement to their vehicles. Let's advocate for a police force that not only protects but also reflects our best societal values, taking a definitive stand against discrimination and embracing emotional intelligence.
