INCREASE IDENTITY V PULL RATES | Make the rates fair, stop the rip off, save our wallets!
The Issue
We have connected with the Identity V community and fandom and have come to the conclusion that the rates are a rip off!
Many in the community spend tens to hundreds or even thousands of dollars per person on this game. NetEase has gathered over 100 million downloads on Identity V world wide advertising it as a Free to Play game. Yet many of these players spend increasing amounts of money on the game for every new essence and crossover.
However it may seems possible to gain the resources without spending a dime, it isn’t. NetEase gives players a Weekly limit on the amount of free rewards a person can gain. And not to mention the rewards per week are not guaranteed as they are too random when rolled using a four sided dice.
They also provide a shop function where you can buy costumes, accessories, and more using fragments gained from pulling duplicates in their gacha function. This is also unrealistic considering the pull rates i will mention in the next paragraph. When players are unable to gain these fragments, they again spend money on the shop items!
According to Id5.fandom.com “The overall drop rate of an A-Tier is 2.5%. Drop rates will be raised every draw. Opening 50 will provide the player with a 6.3% chance, opening 100 will provide the player with a 25% chance, and opening 250 guarantees the player to receive an S-Tier. The overall drop rate of an S-Tier is 0.5%.” In the f2p game each player can gain about 20 free essence by gaining and rolling dice before it switches to a different kind of gain able essence, and this is also not taking into account the Weekly limit mentioned earlier. If a player were to use those free essences then they would still need to pay about $350 dollars to reach the guaranteed 250 pulls to get an S tier and about $45 dollars to reach the guaranteed 60 pulls for an A tier (there is no guarantee as to which character a person will get as an A tier, normal essences carry two different a tiers and crossover essences carry three). Please note these prices are the default price For those living in Chile, Egypt, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Poland, South Korea, Sweden, Vietnam, and all territories that use the euro currency.
As a player myself, me, close friends and many other players are becoming frustrated. I put in much of my own money, lots of my time and effort, into getting these characters only to pay unrealistic prices and get one character or none at all, or even for me to get four of the same A tier costume! We are asking that the odds be increased by at least 1 whole percent, either that or we would like the game to recognize when a player gets rare duplicates and perhaps give a player more fragments per duplicate or prevent people from getting more than two of each rare costume. We see this as fair, a player would have better than a 1 in 100 chance of getting a costume, or would be able to realistically gain fragments to purchase their own costumes.
If each player were to spend $50 dollars per essence then totaled between the 100 million downloads world wide that is 5 billion dollars per month just from gacha! Losses from making changes would not be extreme yet would benefit their many fans greatly! May i also say that having realistic pull rates would also convince more people to play the game, causing more benefits for all parties!
