Increase Funding for Newton South High School's Art Department by 5%

Increase Funding for Newton South High School's Art Department by 5%
The Issue
As active participants in the Art Department at Newton South High School, we have experienced firsthand how it fosters creativity and personal growth among students. The arts play a crucial role in developing critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and emotional expression. Despite its importance, the art department is often underfunded compared to other academic areas.
Currently, the budget allocated to our art programs limits our ability to provide essential materials and opportunities for artistic exploration. We are asking for a redistribution of funding to the Art department at Newton South to increase its budget by just 5%.
Investing in the arts is investing in a well-rounded education. We urge you to support this initiative for the benefit of current and future students at Newton South High School. Please sign this petition to help us secure additional funding for our beloved art department!
