Increase Frequency of Caltrain Services and Improve Santa Clara VTA Routes

Increase Frequency of Caltrain Services and Improve Santa Clara VTA Routes
The Issue
As a resident of Santa Clara County, I am deeply affected by the inadequate public transportation services in our area. The current frequency of Caltrain rides to stations farther south than Tamien is insufficient, particularly for northbound trips in the morning and southbound trips in the afternoon-evening on both weekdays and weekends. This has been an ongoing issue that has left many residents, including myself, feeling neglected.
Furthermore, while we wait for improvements to Caltrain services, it's crucial that Santa Clara VTA provides a faster route going north to San Jose Diridon Station or Tamien Station outside of the peak hours, that is northbound to Tamien or Diridon Station in the morning and southbound from those stations, for every or most Caltrain rounds of trips, and to or from the farther south station that it starts from in the morning or ends at in the afternoon or evening. The existing "Rapid 568" service is far from rapid - taking approximately 40-50 minutes from Morgan Hill to Diridon Station - & still requires additional time to take another bus to Berryessa BART from Santa Clara St & 1st St intersection.
This situation not only affects our daily commute but also hampers economic growth as it limits access for those who work or study outside their residential areas that have no cars. Gas prices may also go back up again, and wasn’t there also an agenda to get people off their cars and take public transportation to reduce carbon emissions? This practice of lengthy public transportation only defeats the purpose and makes people to want to buy a car even more, so they don’t have to put up with inadequate public transportation, thus raising carbon emissions. It's high time we address these issues head-on instead of merely requesting changes without any substantial action being taken.
If all those or even at least many of those working in the office of public transportations, especially VTA and Caltrain, suddenly had to take the public transportation to work and lived in the southern region of Santa Clara county like south San Jose or especially Morgan Hill or Gilroy, just watch how fast it will change! If that is the case, we can tell how self centered public transportation managers really are and how little dedication there truly is in serving the people and using the taxpayer money wisely, in which is the people’s hard earned money! It should be used to serve the people just right!
We urge both Caltrain and Santa Clara VTA authorities to consider this plea seriously as it impacts thousands of commuters daily. By signing this petition, you are supporting a call for improved public transportation services that will benefit all residents in South County.
