Increase Disabled Parking Bays at Ealing Hospital

The Issue

Since having a stroke, my mobility has been significantly affected, and Ealing Hospital is the closest healthcare facility to me. It's daunting enough having to visit the hospital frequently without the added stress of never being able to find a convenient parking spot, even though I hold a Blue Badge. Currently, there are only six disabled parking bays near the entrance, which are often occupied, forcing disabled users to park farther away, adding unnecessary physical strain and stress.

Ealing Hospital serves a vast population, including many who, like me, depend on these essential parking spots to access vital healthcare services. The current number of bays is insufficient to meet the demand of the community, and this lack directly impacts disabled patients' ability to receive timely and necessary care.

According to the Department for Transport figures, there has been a significant increase in the issuance of Blue Badges across the UK, highlighting the growing need for more accessible parking facilities. It is crucial that Ealing Hospital expands its disabled parking availability to reflect this demand, ensuring that those with disabilities can attend appointments safely and with dignity.

Our call is simple and crucial: Increase the number of disabled parking bays near the hospital's entrances to accommodate patients with mobility challenges. This change will not only make a profound difference to individuals requiring accessible parking but also demonstrate Ealing Hospital's commitment to inclusivity and patient care.

Please join me in urging Ealing Hospital to address this pressing issue by signing this petition. Together, we can make access to healthcare a reality for everyone. Sign to support a fair and equitable solution for disabled parking at Ealing Hospital today.
