Increase capacity for Elliot’s House

Increase capacity for Elliot’s House
We are currently being harassed and discriminated against by Somerville Animal Control who is limiting our capacity to 60 total dogs at our facility. With this small number we will not be able to continue moving forward and will have to close our facility. Somerville city employees do not understand how to run a business and they are limiting how we can make money and thrive. Our utmost focus is on the health and well-being of the dogs that we have at our facility and we are able to accommodate way more than they are allowing us. There are other daycare’s within a half mile range that have 2 to 3 times as many dogs in a smaller area. We have 4000 ft.² and they are only allowing us 60 dogs and there is not even a bylaw or any method that they make this judgement on. They simply threw out a number and tell you that that’s what it is. We are not able to keep our staff employed, pay bills and maintain the company moving forward. We don’t know why we are being discriminated and scrutinized and constantly hatrassed by animal control while others are able to do as they please with less space but larger capacities.
