Dear Twin Lakes North Residents,

As many of you have noticed, the City of Fort Lauderdale recently installed metal tree guard panels throughout Twin Lakes North Park. These panels are designed to help deter climbing wildlife, such as iguanas, from accessing the trees and causing damage, helping to preserve the health and beauty of our park.

This practical improvement has also created an exciting opportunity to enhance our community through public art.

As President of the Twin Lakes North HOA and a local multimedia artist, I, Frank Polanco, have presented a proposal to the City of Fort Lauderdale to transform these metal tree guard panels into a public art installation.

The vision is  to paint original works inspired by the native flora and fauna of South Florida, creating an outdoor gallery that celebrates our natural environment while supporting local artists and beautifying our neighborhood.

The City of Fort Lauderdale would like to consider the opinions of Twin Lakes North residents before moving forward with this proposal.
