We express our deep concern at the decision by education qualification awarding bodies to discontinue the offer of Punjabi as a subject at GCSE and A Level. Learning Punjabi not only ensures the preservation of Punjabi culture but also helps equip our young people with the language skills they need in the modern world. We call upon the incoming Government to intervene to ensure the preservation of Punjabi as a GCSE and A Level subject.
