As a proud member and leader of the Penn State University community, I have been inspired by the strength and leadership shown by my fellow students. Our university is home to numerous student leaders who represent our diverse colleges and they should be given an opportunity to speak at commencement ceremonies.

Commencement is a momentous occasion that celebrates our academic achievements and marks the beginning of a new chapter in our lives. It's only fitting that we hear from those who have walked this journey with us – our peers.

In fact, many universities across America already incorporate student speakers into their graduation ceremonies. This practice not only enriches the ceremony but also fosters a sense of unity among graduating students.
