The Issue

Why This Matters

Every single day, Starbucks’s most dedicated customers show up at the counter. We line up early, collect limited-edition merch, spend thousands of dollars annually, and share our genuine love for the brand across social media—even making local news news coverage in pursuit of favorite releases. Many of us have earned the exclusive Black Card Reserve status through years of consistent loyalty and spending.

Yet, when new seasonal drops and exclusive merchandise collections release, PR packages are frequently sent to high-profile influencers who don't regularly visit Starbucks, don't hold Black Card status, or rarely feature the brand in their everyday content. These influencers unbox rare items for free while the brand’s most loyal, paying members have to camp out at dawn or miss out entirely.

Our Demand

We are asking Starbucks to revamp its PR and outreach strategy by prioritizing its true brand advocates:

1. Reward Real Loyalty: Allocate a portion of official PR packages and exclusive merchandise drops to verified Black Card Reserve members.

2. Recognize Authentic Creators: Build PR lists using real customers and micro-creators who consistently feature and support Starbucks daily, rather than relying solely on generic influencer lists.

3. Bridge Brand Loyalty and PR: Show the community that long-term brand support and financial loyalty are valued just as much as follower counts.

If you agree that Starbucks should reward the loyal members who support them every single day, please sign and share this petition!
